An exhibition between the two best golfers in the world, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, has apparently been in the works for a couple of months. They are both playing in different tournaments in Asia and will meet on Monday, October 29th for an exhibition match in China at Lake Jinsha International Golf Club. It will be an 18 hole match that should draw a huge crowd and millions of viewers around the world. Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, describes this event as customer entertainment, and what more could the golf world ask for? Especially after McIlroy’s recent PGA Championship. McIlroys win this past Sunday has him being compared to Woods and many believe he is now the best golfer in the game.

“I’m sure this gives it a little more pop,” Steinberg said. “Rory has moved to No. 1 in the world, and clearly they are the two most recognizable names in golf.”
“It should be a lot of fun,” McIlroy said while in a Golf Channel interview on Wednesday. “First time I’ve really ever done something like this with Tiger.”
Unless the two are randomly matched against each other in the Ryder Cup, this will be the first time they will go head to head. It will definitely be a great match to watch, so mark your calenders.
